Evernorth
Evernorth℠ is a health services brand built on the recognition that health makes progress possible. Their health services are designed to redefine health care as we know it, by delivering data-driven, innovative, and flexible solutions for health plans, employers, and government programs.
Our goal was to create an identity that was as inspired and purposeful as the brand itself. We channelled their kinetic energy through bold use of color, type, motion, and layout. The plus mark became a powerful brand signifier for Evernorth℠—not only because it’s a symbol for health, but because it represents connectivity and forward momentum.
The light, elevated illustration style was designed to complement and offset the boldness of the brand. By taking an otherwise flat system and adding dimension, we were able to create a sense of implied motion, even in stills.
My role:
I began on this project as a senior designer and I saw it through to completion, from concept to launch. I was one of the main designers who stayed on the project through its entirety, and played a key role in developing the initial brand identity.
As the project evolved, I went on to lead the design and creation of a fully-functioning prototyped brand playbook, as well as lead the development of the brand’s illustration style.
After the brand launched in September 2020, I assisted the campaign team with creating and overseeing the development of key campaign visuals.
